INTRODUCTION With the advent of Gbps-range Research and Engineering networks, traditional video conferencing has been evolved toward advanced collaboration environments (ACE). The ACE enables users to share an ensemble of resources multimedia, documents, and applications. The ACE has been widely used for seamless cooperative works among users at geographically distributed sites such as large-scale distributed meeting and distance lectures.
